Known as Ngũ Vị Hương in Vietnamese and 五香粉 in Chinese, it captures the essence of five classic Chinese tastes: sweet, bitter, tart, salty, and savory. This blend adds a warm, savory, and mildly spicy kick to grilled rubs, stews, sauces, stir-fries, braises, and red-cooked dishes. Cooking ideas: Mix with soy sauce to glaze proteins or robust vegetables, substitute for cinnamon in desserts, or enhance the flavor of braises, beans, and slow-cooked meals.
